How it works

Rotating in a viewer versus rotating the file
Most PDF readers have a rotate button, but it only changes your view for that session. Close the file, send it to someone else or print it, and the pages are sideways again. This tool changes each page's rotation setting inside the PDF itself, so the fix is permanent for everyone who opens it.
Because only the rotation setting changes, nothing is re-rendered or recompressed: text stays selectable, images keep their full quality, links still work and the file size stays almost exactly the same.
Common situations
- Scanned documents: feeders often scan landscape pages sideways. Rotate just those pages with a custom range.
- Double-sided scans: if every back page came out upside down, rotate even pages by 180 degrees.
- Phone scans: photos taken in landscape can end up rotated in the PDF. Rotate all pages to fix the whole file at once.
- Wide tables and charts: rotate a landscape page so it reads correctly on screen, then print as normal.

Does rotating reduce the quality?
No. Rotation is a page setting, so the content is not redrawn or recompressed.
Can I rotate several PDFs at once?
Yes. Add as many files as you like; each is rotated with the same settings and you can download them together as a ZIP.
What does "90° clockwise" mean for a page that is already rotated?
The rotation is added to the current one, so a page already at 90° becomes 180°.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
Unlock it first with Unlock PDF (you need the password), then rotate it.
